The employer is legally responsible for providing employees with suitable and sufficient instruction and training on the control of substances hazardous to health.
The employer's responsibilities regarding COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) include ensuring risk assessments are up to date, implementing control measures and providing employees with appropriate information and training regarding COSHH. Employers are required to ensure the safety of all employees and this could include providing personal protective equipment, respiratory protective equipment, special training or workplace exposure limits in place.
We developed the COSHH eLearning Module as a way for employers to make sure that all employees understand the importance of COSHH in the workplace and are aware of what their responsibilities are. The training module will enable the user to know the risks and the consequences of not having high standard procedures for the handling of hazardous substances and be aware of the effects of exposure.
This COSHH eLearning course is aimed at employees in the Retail Sector that handle substances hazardous to health and seek an understanding of COSHH risks and measures. Also, the training provides an overview of how to store hazardous substances containers and how to read labels.
