Food to Go
The food-to-go market as a whole has risen to be worth £25 billion in 2018, according to Kantar Worldpanel data. Having food to go in your store could significantly boost lunchtime trade and your profit margin.
Sandwiches are still the most popular lunch-to-go option, with 55% of responders voting for it, followed by hot food at 27%, according to The Grocer magazine. Enticing customers to come into your store with lunchtime trade can also get them to buy other items. However, anyone who works with food to go needs to be able to sell it effectively and in a safe and hygienic manner.
At Bolt, we have developed the Food to Go eLearning Module. It provides an understanding of the importance of food to go in retail, how to handle food to go, and how to increase sales by understanding the customers.
Fully online and interactive, available 24/7 on any device and with no time limits, with an assessment at the end of the eLearning module. A certificate can be downloaded upon successful completion of the training course.
This eLearning module covers food safety legislation related to Food to Go; including the Food Safety Act (1990; as amended), General Food Law Regulation (EC) 178/2002 & 852/2004, and Food Hygiene Regulations (2013).
