We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh.

Our self-built SaaS (software-as-a-service) platform allows our clients to deliver high-quality training content across their organisations, and our in-house editor allows our skilled team of designers to create effective and engaging training material.

Our clients range from small local businesses to multi-national corporations, and our systems adapt and scale to meet their varying needs. We work closely with our clients and are continually enhancing our platform with innovative and useful new features.

Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our Edinburgh-based development team.


About the role

We’re looking for an expert Site Reliability Engineer to help manage and improve our cloud-based infrastructure, ideally with development experience so they can also assist the development team.

You’ll need to have strong problem-solving skills with experience and understanding of highly available, scalable systems, as well as a solid understanding of web security. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner and enjoy keeping abreast of the latest technologies and best practices.

The full-time role is based in our Edinburgh office, but there is an option for flexi-time and/or remote working at times, for the right person.

Ideally, you’ll have experience with all or most of our technology stack:

  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Helm
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Postgres
  • Python/Django
  • Web (JS/CSS/HTML)


Key responsibilities

  • Cloud infrastructure (orchestration, maintenance, configuration, monitoring)
  • Designing and maintaining scalable & highly-available architectures
  • Dealing with debug/diagnose issues
  • Database administration (ad-hoc reports, data imports)
  • Disaster recovery planning and implementation
  • Implement policies to maintain ISO 27001 accreditation
